Binance Liquidations: What the Screener Shows and How to Use It
Binance — the world's largest derivatives exchange by futures trading volume. Liquidations don't set the tone for the market: when a cascade of liquidations starts here, it spreads to OKX, Bybit and spot markets. That's why liquidations Binance — a separate screener preset.
This preset sorts coins by total liquidation volume over the last 24 hours. Coins with the highest volume of forced closes appear at the top. High liquidation volumes often coincide with local price extremes, where the market "breaks" its leverage and reverses.
Practical application: If a coin shows abnormally high liquidations during a sharp price movement, it's likely the peak of the movement is near. Liquidation volume dries up when there's nothing left to liquidate: this is the moment of a potential reversal or trend slowdown.
How to read liquidation data in the screener
High liquidations + price increase
Short positions are being closed. A short squeeze is in effect. The rally could accelerate if the OI continues to rise.
High liquidations + price drop
Long positions are being closed. Cascading liquidations of longs. The decline may accelerate until leverage is exhausted.
Liquidations decline after peak
Leveraged positions have already been closed. The movement is losing fuel—a slowdown or reversal is likely.
Liquidations without price movement
Local forced closures. A major player "clears" stops before a planned move.
